In October 1954, Denmark’s oldest amber grinder, Mads Frederik Augustenborg Madsen died. On the Danish west coast he was known as “Rav Mads” – Amber Mads.

Throughout most of his long life Rav Mads ground amber from morning to night and sold it partly from the store, partly from his bike.

Since 1991 we have continued the well-known amber grinder’s proud crafts and traditions – formerly based in Mads Madsen’s old house, but now in new surroundings located in the charming village of Ho near Blåvand.

We always strive to have interesting items in the shop – and to create a pleasant atmosphere for customers and guests.
